Cyan

Yesterday's lovely spring feeling has gone again, as we have another dark, dismal morning.  So today my blog's a tribute to all things cyan so on my blog at least everything's bright and cheerful.

The motivations behind the CMYKshade design are efficient use of material -thus to create minimum waste- and to provide a flexible color spectrum where you can mix and match any two of four colors: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black.  CMYKshade is laser-cut out of an acrylic sheet. With its wise method of assembly, it wastes minimum amount of material in manufacturing and takes up minimum space when packaged. It is made in the UK.

This beautiful Blue Breeze necklace uses 16  handmade lampwork Effetre glass beads, which are wrapped in fine silver, etched to a smooth finish and then finally hung on sterling silver.  Each bead is on its own length of fine silver wire and is finished at either side with a tiny sterling silver bead and hand wrapped loops. The final touch to this necklace is an elegant clasp which could be worn at the front or side of the piece rather than hiding it away at the back!

This intricate patchwork quilt is made from bright batik cottons in magenta & cyan. The backing is a bright turquoise blue. The quilt measures approximately 112cm X 158cm or 44inches X 62 inches.  The top and backing fabrics are 100% cotton and the wadding/batting is 80% cotton 20% polyester. The quilt has been machine stitched using 100% cotton blue thread.
