Tutorial Tuesday - Needle Felting

Before we start, I just want to remind you all about my free Followers Prize Draw to win a custom made keyring or bookmark.  To enter simply follow my blog.  Everyone who is following me at 11.59pm on Friday 2nd March (GMT) will be entered into the draw.  The winner will get a felt bookmark or keyring featuring the animal of their choice.  To follow me, click the 'Follow' button at the very top of my blog. There will be one winner who will be announced on this blog by Monday 5th March.

It's Tutorial Tuesday again and I'm still tweaking the format.  Hopefully this new format (choosing a subject and looking at different tutorials and kits) will fit in better with the rest of my blog.  I'll try it for a couple of weeks and see how it goes...  Today I'm looking at needle felting - a subject I know absolutely nothing about other than lots of people are a bit obsessed with it at the minute.  It's on the list of things I want to try one day although after researching this blog it's been bumped up a few places.

We'll kick things off with some free tutorials...

Needle Felted Heart Tutorial by The Magic Onions

This is a tutorial on how to make needle felted hearts using a cookie cutter for the heart shape, making this a simple and fast project for beginner needle felting. It's the perfect beginners project as the cookie cutter protects nervous fingers from the sharp needle and will build confidence in the whole needle felting process.

Basic Figures Tutorial by Sara's Texture Crafts
A PDF tutorial showing you how to make a basic figure which you can then style and dress however you like.

A very clear and well-written tutorial (it even makes sense to me!) to create this very impressive looking frog.

  1. Hi Jenna, thank you very much for including me in your list of tutorials! I no longer do them, as it just got to be too much work .... your idea of linking to others is much more sensible! Regards, Anne
